Overview:

I developed the brand identity for Fluuent, a medical software startup focused on creating solutions that enable seamless and secure communication between various medical software systems. This comprehensive branding project involved an extensive process to devise the company name, alongside research, conceptualization, and execution to ensure that the brand accurately represents Fluuent’s innovative approach and mission.

  1. Brand Representation:
    • Objective: To craft a brand that embodies Fluuent’s mission of seamless and secure medical software integration.
    • Approach: The brand design explored biological, medical, and technological forms, emphasizing connection and communication. The logo and visual elements were designed to reflect effortless flow and adhesion of information.
  2. Shape Psychology:
    • Objective: To use shapes that convey unity, strength, and stability.
    • Approach: Circular shapes were used to represent community, connection, and continuity, while rectangular shapes conveyed strength, efficiency, and professionalism. The combination of these shapes aimed to balance stability and dynamic flow.
  3. Color Scheme:
    • Objective: To choose a color palette that is both medically relevant and vibrant.
    • Approach: Inspired by the saffron crocus, the primary color chosen was Fluuent Orange (Pantone 1505C). This shade conveys warmth, security, and vibrancy, aligning with the brand’s values and creating a contemporary and dynamic feel.
  4. Typography:
    • Objective: To select a typeface that complements the brand’s high-tech and medical context.
    • Approach: Futura was chosen for its clean, precise proportions and its historical use in scientific contexts, including NASA. This font reinforces Fluuent’s image as a forward-thinking and reliable entity in the medical software industry.
